Wanted to add one more thing in regards to buying online (sorry, I'm multitasking and a bit scattered).
When searching for a Canadian pharmacy only consider those that are CIPA (Canadian International Pharmacy Association) certified. CIPA pharmacy members are licensed and regulated by the government for safety and pharmaceutical products from these pharmacies are of guaranteed safety and effectiveness.
I personally know of a good number of people in the ferret community that are using online Canadian pharmacies as the source for their ferrets medications (and not only leuprolide acetate) and I've yet to hear any horror stories from any of them.
Buying from outside the US can make ferret health care more affordable and should not be discounted. Again, just make sure you do your homework.
