So sorry for this to have happened. Unfortunately any surgery carries some risk. Hopefully this vet was ferret knowledgeable to know that the ferret needed to be kept on a heated pad during and especially post surgery to maintain his body temperature until it came up to normal on its own. They can also have the body temperature come up ok then suddenly go down. This is a risk for any surgery with ferrets.
