Hi,

I'd bet dollars to donuts that Scooby has adrenal disease. As
everyone else has said he needs to go to a ferret-knowledgeable vet.
There is no substitute for good vet care.

The good news is that adrenal is usually treatable, either with
medication or with surgery. Two of my three current ferrets have had
adrenal surgery. The sixth anniversary of Ella's surgery is three
months away and she has had no problems since. Chin Soon had her
surgery a year and a half ago and, again, it cured her. I'm not
saying surgery is the right answer for Scooby but it is one
possibility you and a good ferret vet will have to consider.

Good luck!
Caity and the terrific trio
(Ella, Zephyr and Chin Soon)
