Hair loss, itching, dry skin, lack of energy, and even the excessive appetite and weight gain are all clear signs of adrenal disease. You don't need to see other signs, in fact you don't need to see any signs at all. Adrenal disease can also cause prostate enlargement. This can lead to a life threatening urinary blockage. What you perceive as difficulty defecating may actually be difficulty urinating. I wouldn't wait to get him to the vet, he needs to be treated asap.
