Hello,
I am so sorry your sweet fuzzy had to feel this way. It sounds very much like a insulinomic attack. When you put him in the cage, did you happen to notice if he had eaten food ? If so, this could have been the reason for the recovery. He may need to be put on Prednisone which can only be given to you by your vet. I may help to go purchase an alpha trac glucose meter for quick testing of blood sugar at home ( just in case ) I foster 8 sweet fuzzies at the moment, one of which, has SEVERE insulinoma. This is a life saving tool to have, trust me. I have also been testing one of my personal ferrets for suspected insulinoma for about 4 months now. He has always been borderline but recently the decision to put him on prednisone came with a blood sugar reading of 60. He was just kind of starring off into space at the time of testing & I am glad I had the meter to do all the testing myself at the time needed. The Vet would have charged 30 a test, so having a meter on hand also sav
es money too ! The most important thing..... is that I caught his insulinoma early & surgery will be next in line as he is very young and will be able to withstand having surgery.

Thanks,
Lynn
