To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

I have to say that my experience is that the introduction of a deslorelin implant helped regulate the endocrine system.
My diabetic boy (for almost 2 years now) needed a dramatically less amount of insulin and indeed has not needed any now in several weeks since the implant.
I would suspect it is the prednisone thats doing this or a possible glucogonoma in conjunction to the insulinoma, it is not unheard of for insulinoma to evolve into diabetes in some cases from what I have read.
I would think that the implant being removed would be a mistake and the new symptoms being experienced are coincidental to the implant.
