Subject: [ferrethealth] liver tumor

Has anyone ever had a tumor removed from the liver? I had another ultrasound done on my ferret and this vet said that its pretty big (3.5cm x 5.4cm). She is not a specialist but told me that the prognosis is not good from the ultrasound pictures.
Can anyone tell me if they have experienced anything like this with their ferret and if it was removed? He's 7 and I feel that since its so big I have no other option since it is causing him problems. I would at least like to try removing it and if it doesn't go good when the doctor opens him up then I will just let him go. But I'd like a heads up if anyone had this done and if it was successful.
