Subject: [ferrethealth] Dark spot on vulva

G'day,
Ferret is one year old - her coat colour Dark-Eyed-White, she has the Suprelorin implant ((9.4 mg) instead of surgical castration.
About 3 weeks ago I noticed a dark spot on her vulva, at first I thought it's just a speck of dirt. But it isn't. Unfortunately she is too wriggly to have a good look at it. The size of the spot is less than one square millimetre.
Vet says could be a blackhead - for melanoma she is too young, but to keep an eye on it.
My question. Has anybody had a ferret with this dark, almost black spot on her vulva and if so what was it? Her vulva is not swollen; it's very tiny.
