Hi, Kat,

Following up on Andrea's response to you there are also good
alternatives to prednisolone for lymphoma. My Nyssa, who fought
lymphoma for 19 months, could not tolerate much pred at all. It
caused severe diarrhea for her. One vet used vetalog
(triamcinolone) injections on a monthly basis. When we moved her new
vet preferred depo medrol. Both worked well for Nyssa. These may be
options worth discussing with your vet.

Regarding the bruising I do agree with the previous posts that a
follow up visit with your vet is definitely in order. With Nyssa we
went with monthly visits unless a new problem showed up. Between the
monthly injections, diarrhea meds when that became a consistent
problem, and finally pain meds as the disease progressed we were able
to maintain her quality of life almost right up until the end.

Good luck!

All the best,
Caity and the dynamic duo
