A couple of things you should be following up on:

First, ulcers don=E2=80=99t heal up quickly. My experience has been 4-6 we=
eks when given proper meds, which can include, but aren=E2=80=99t limited t=
o:

Carafate
Amoxicillin
Metronidazole
Pepcid

You must give meds diligently, or else the ulcers can recur and/or worsen. =
If they perforate the ferret=E2=80=99s stomach, he dies.

Second, ulcers are often a secondary symptom of some other illness/stress o=
n the ferret=E2=80=99s body. Insulinoma is one possibility. A thorough exa=
m by a ferret knowledgeable vet is really important here, including a check=
on blood glucose. Then you need to get the ulcer meds from the vet.
