Okay, thank-you for the advice, I will ask about ulcer meds, specifically those ones, one of the two she is taking is a stomach coating med sucrasomething. I think her ulcer is/was lower gi. She is on antibiotics to kill any infection. I do know her blood gluclose was fine, as was everything in the full blood panel. I do feeed them a high protein low card diet (Evo Ferret), which I believe would lessen the chance of a condition such as insolinoma.

She is doing much better already, as each day passes. But I will press on trying to keep her in good health!!

My vet is an exotic animal avian specialist, but I worry sometimes he is spread to thin with his clientele, between two hospitals. I may try going somewhere else.

Best wishes to you and your ferrets!!

[Be sure to SEPARATE the sucralfate,
which is the generic of Carafate, from
other meds or food by at least a half hour.
Otherwise, it won't work well and it can
prevent other meds from working by coating
them.
