Subject: [ferrethealth] Mufassa Update
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com, F M L <ferret-L@listserv.ferretmailinglist.org>

Mufassa is showing no signs of the problems he had a few days ago.=A0 He re=
ceived a deslorin implant and we are slowly weaning off his pred.=A0 Yester=
day he was dancing and jumping in the air (at least 4 - 6 inches up).=A0 He=
was pouncing on the other ferrets and appeared very happy.=A0 He has not h=
ad any episodes where he would fall over, stumble, have any jerky movements=
.
=A0
Its been suggested that he could have had a clot which caused those symptom=
s and has sense cleared.=A0 Also I've been informed that giving pred to a f=
erret will cause the glucose to spike.
=A0
So the only possible causes I have are a clot or his adreanal disease was c=
ausing a hormone spike.
=A0
If it was a clot it cleared, if it was adrenal disease the implant will hel=
p.=A0 We will continue to watch him.
=A0
Thank you for all the advice
=A0
Mike
