If you wish to take early precautions then this ideally suited to treament with the deslorlin implant (4.7 or 9.4 mg).
Cheaper and longer lasting than lupron.
I have two ferrets with this implant, one with confirmed adrenal disease for 2 1/2 years and one precautionary for 1 1/2 years..
It will not cause any problems if the ferret does not have the illness.
