You can get her a melatonin implant and see if that helps at all. They are=
inexpensive and can help with adrenal disease, if that=E2=80=99s the under=
lying problem. They last about 4 months. If adrenal disease is not the ca=
use, then the implant won=E2=80=99t hurt in any way, and will probably give=
her a thicker coat. It=E2=80=99s hard to tell just from your description=
, but at her young age it could be just seasonal, it could be clogged pores=
in the tail, or it could be early adrenal disease. An experienced ferret =
vet can give you a better idea after seeing her. He may also pick up on ot=
her thinning areas that you wouldn=E2=80=99t know to look for that could be=
related to adrenal disease.
