Basil's latest temp was 102.2 on day 3 of Clavamox but we're doing a urine culture to see if it actually grows bacteria, that may take until this Thursday to Saturday to get results.

We're planning on doing an ultrasound on Thursday.

It's been 4 days on the pred. I was wondering for those who've used it for lymphoma, even if they caught it endstage, how long might it take to see a response, or if any is seen at all endstage? It seemed to perk her up the first day and she was shaking her toys, she's still eating and drinking, but today she really doesn't want to do anything and just wants to sleep, and still has little use of her legs. And she now has urine incontinence.

She prefers to drag herself even though she could paddle just a little. She'll wander a little if I hold her back end up for her.

She had a lupron shot on Monday in case this is adrenal related. The vet said that would probably not have any effect for a week.

The vet also said her kidney might be enlarged and if that's the case it could take several weeks on antibiotics for that to reduce. But we'll hopefully find out more about the kidney from the ultrasound.

I'm constantly trying to gauge her quality of life. I'm wondering if she's sleeping more because she's in pain. I don't know if it's fair to wait until she refuses food. I don't want to do it too early before giving these meds a chance to do something. But I don't have any experience with the response times. If it is lymphoma, should the pred have helped her more by now?

Can a lupron shot make her tired?

Thanks,
Jaime
