Subject: [ferrethealth] Major balance issues
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

Potter is a rescue, he is around 4 or 5 yrs old. He was recently treated for inflammation in his chest, the way I understood it was kinda like pleurisy, and a bacterial infection in his ears. The balance problems, sunken/teary eyes, labored breathing and what I thought was pain when he was moved/held, were the symptoms that prompted the visit to vet on 11/26. His medications were
Clavamox drops compounded 2mg/ml prednisone dose was 0.5ml by mouth every 12 hours. for 10 days
Gentocin otic 7.5ml 2-3 drops into each ear canal then massage. repeat every 12 hours for 2 weeks.
He is also adrenal and is on 3mg oral melatonin daily.
I am attaching a video of him taken last night during playtime. His balance is way off and have progressively become worse since mid November. He is going in for a complete blood count and a blood chemistry later this week.
