Subject: [ferrethealth] blind ferret and darkness
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com
while my ferrets have dark places to go to sleep and hide out in. i have a 8 year old blind ferret thats adrenal and inslanoma he likes sleeping out in the open on top of the back of the sofa (like a cat) or on top of the covers on my bed, also on the middle of the floor in the living room. my question would be does his blindness affect his melatoin output or is caused by light just getting to his fur/skin. he does have a melatoin implant 2nd one.
thanks
