Supplemental:

When reactions usually happen: Most will be within
the first 45 minutes, usually sooner, so wait at the
vet hospital afterward. Delayed reactions are
extremely rare and what some people think are
delayed reactions are impossible from the timing.

Pretreatment:
Ask your vet. Some like to pretreat with
plain Benedryl and others like to use steroids beforehand.

Timing of other types of vaccinations:
Allow two weeks between. There is a low chance that a
common compound may be involved, but more
importantly it allows you to know which vaccine
caused the reaction.

Most prefer to never vaccinate a ferret who has
reacted with that specific vaccine again. Some
ferrets react to more than one vaccine but most
don't. Read Caity's post.

Storage may matter. Years ago a shelter in the
midwest found (with a now discontinued vaccine)
that reactions stopped when they stopped using
a certain distributor. The distributor may have
stored the vaccine incorrectly or it may have been
coincidence.
