Yes, that was definitely a delayed anaphylactic reaction.

There are people who wonder about things that simply don't fit the
symptoms for reactions and wonder about time frames that are quite a
bit longer such as days or more for their ferrets. In those cases the
people are simply barking up the wrong tree.

Thankfully, delayed reactions such as this one Tressie describes which
fit the symptoms for anaphylatic shock and occur hours later are very
rare, but it is useful to know that even though a person is unlikely
to ever encounter such a situation it can happen so if that knowledge
is ever needed emergency care will be immediately sought.

Among the excellent pieces of information in the video with Dr.
Gandolfi which Jeff recommended was one on rates which will give an
idea of why ferrets are considered prone to allergic reactions from
vaccinations. With the Merial Purevax ferret canine distemper
vaccinations the rate of reactions is about 1 in 100. (It was a bit
higher with the United one that is gone, something like 3 in 100.) BUT
the rate of reactions in dogs is one from thousands. I forget the
actual figure though you can find it in:
