Subject: [ferrethealth] Re: Terrible Reaction to Distemper Injection - UPDATE on condition
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

Cindy, this may be far fetched but when I went to look up Sinupret on the F=
ML there was someone who was giving this for a pasteurella bacteria infecti=
on in her ferrets. I wanted to mention a little on this sinus, respiratory =
and immune support natural syrup but couldn't remember where I had seen it =
recommended so that was when I checked the archives of the FML=85 I give =
this to my ferret that has a nasal tumor and it works great!! I was giving =
benedryl but was worried about her taking it long term. This has relieved t=
he heart retching sneezing (she still sneezes but not as hard as before) an=
d most of the nasal congestion due to this tumor, which cannot be removed. =
The symptoms of pasteurella is similar to what you are describing =85.snee=
zing, watery eyes, nasal and upper respiratory symptoms. Now this is mainly=
seen in rabbits but I did read where this bacteria could lay dormant and c=
an be triggered by stress (vaccine reaction). I don't know if there is a te=
st for this or not. This bacteria may be way off base but if dogs, cats, ra=
bbits, etc can get it why not ferrets? I may be leaving things out but not =
intentionally so hopefully someone will chime in and correct me if I said t=
his all wrong. I sure hope Mollie is improving as the days go on.=20
