Paleness means the vet will also consider heart disease,
ulcers, as well as some other things which can cause
internal bleeding, or anemia, or difficulty getting oxygen
or transporting it.

Drinking a lot means that the vet will also check to see
if he went into the opposite problem from insulinoma
and now has diabetes. Kidney disease will also be
considered. Blood tests often do not show kidney
disease in ferrets until it is advanced but the vet can
measure urine concentration to get a feeling for how
well the kidneys are working.

Both things can be important to share with the treating
vet and with readers. When possibly important information
is left out the answers received become less relevant, I'm
afraid.

This ferret needs prompt care with testing.
