Thank you for the research information. Just an additional note on Oliver:
This is occurring more than three months after surgery. The BG levels
following surgery and subsequent checks up until two months ago, when we
concluded he was stable, were normal.
I have had a prior case of diabetes following surgery, which occurred
immediately after surgery that did not straighten out until we started
insulin injections. After a month of giving insulin, the Foxy's BG lowered
to the point that we were able to discontinue the insulin. She has now been
doing fine for eight months. In Foxy's case we went to surgery on 5/5/2010
because we could not control the low BG with pred for over two months
following the initial episode late in February.
