Subject: [ferrethealth] Ferret electrocuted but alive

Tonight my 2.5yr old male ferret somehow got into the front of our TV and zapped himself. We gave him CPR and he started breathing. He was shaking some, so we gave him .10cc of dextromethasone, as recommended by our vet. Now hes sleeping and we're keeping him warm.
There are no emergency vets open where we are in Mexico right now, and getting him into USA means smuggling him, which scares me. (Thanks CA for stupid rules)We are trying to take him somewhere now, but would like some advice anyway.
