Laxatone in correct dosages is a very benign laxative, its comparable to other hairball over-the-counter remedies like FerretLax. I speculate that your vet may have suspected a partial obstruction and therefore, recommended the Laxatone.
As someone has already mentioned it is unlikely that your ferret was constipated and I'm thinking now with more facts on hand, that perhaps you misunderstood what your vet told you.
The adverse effects of mineral oil have already been made. I strongly suspect the problems you are seeing now, you inadvertently created by administering the mineral oil.
I believe you sincerely believed you were helping your little one and did not intentionally want to make things worse.
As already recommended, please stop the mineral oil, and if he's not better once you've stopped, get in touch with your vet and explain what has happened.
We all make mistakes, your vet will understand but does need to be updated so that she can help your ferret get better.
