In 30 years we have had only one ferret with gingivitis. She had soup for her last six months because of compression of her esophagus by a heart tumor and dilative cardiomyopathy.
We like to use gauze on fingers for cleaning with an enzymatic toothpaste, and we've found that Foamy Fries are a great help for keeping ferrets' teeth clean. In the past Molasses has been the favored flavor, but our current crew much more likes chicken flavor and loves beef flavor.
