Subject: Re: [ferrethealth] IBD - symptoms only in morning
To: <ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com>

Could be due to a lack of food in her stomach, which is more likely to happ=
en over night than during the day. I=E2=80=99ve found with a couple of IBD=
ferrets that when their stomachs are empty, they get more irritated and pr=
oduce some very funky poops, often mostly mucous, but when there is food in=
there, the poops are usually good.=20

If you serve any kind of soup, try adding in a little slippery elm bark pow=
der. I=E2=80=99ve found that to be a big help for ferrets with any kind of=
regular digestive problems.
