Hi Bonnie
Yes, ferrets can get Iatrogenic Cushings from long term pred use,
but the only way to know if pred is causing the adrenal signs
(and not adrenal gland disease) is to check the adrenal hormones
thru the University of Tennessee (the "Tennessee panel").
If the adrenal hormones are normal, then yes the pred is causing the
adrenal signs.
