I am currently going through the same thing with my 7.5 year old Pixie. Yesterday even her front legs were buckling. Feeding her every couple of hours all night and today, and upping her pred dosage seemed to help. She is as of right now walking normally. She is seeing the vet today for BG and a switch to prednisolone.

Is it possible for ascending paralysis to also happen with insulinoma, or in some way could the pred be helping something else??

muscles without enough nourishment and thus
things like weakness and convulsions.

Your description just sounds like insulinoma
which got out of control, Ella.

Actual loss of use of the front legs is something
which makes a person wonder about lymphoma
and some other things.
