You say he=E2=80=99s had insulinoma for the last year and a half. But the =
current dose of prednisolone is still very low, a total of just 1.0 mg dail=
y, divided into two doses. I=E2=80=99d guess that his pred needs to increa=
se, and that his BG level is too low at this point. Insulinoma is a progre=
ssive disease, and it doesn=E2=80=99t progress in a nice, steady fashion. =
That=E2=80=99s why you need to pay close attention to their behavior, which=
you=E2=80=99re clearly doing, but also test the BG regularly. Low BG coul=
d cause the lethargy, weight loss, and other symptoms. If you can do so, y=
ou should also divide the daily dosage of pred into 3 doses, every 8 hours.=
This is often more effective in keeping a steady BG level.
