Dr. Ruth and all FHL members,

Thank you for responding. I do believe Essiac is helpful, as I had
another ferret with a lung tumor treated with it and lived 1yr. The
reason I think it may cause a perferated intestine is because someone
from the list who uses Essiac told me to be sure to use Carafate with
Essiac, as Essiac initally draws the cancer back to the original site

[I can not even imagine a mechanism
by which this could happen.

and if it was the cut it can do a number there. To be safe, Guille is
getting .04cc of carafate 3x daily. My Gaston who was treated with
Essiac (and pred) for 1 years time with a lung tumor, oddly died from
unrelated causes and it was a perferated intestine. Maybe from long
term essiac use.

My question is on dose. I am usuing the product from the Vitamin Store
(the powder which I brew). I know it is reptuable because I have
researched it previously when Gaston took it 2yrs ago. It is the
produce made by ESSIAC Canada Intl. With Rene Cassie's logo. I know
those who brew their own from the herbs use 1ml 2x daily. I was unsure
with my product so I started Gaston on .05cc 2x daily and eventuallly
in time when he seemed to do worse moved him up to .07cc 2x daily where
he stayed for lifespan.

Guille started at .05cc 2x daily. He is now getting .06cc 2x daily.
Any idea on what the correct dose is to give? Guille seems to have
some pain as he shivers a little here and there. But his breathing has
improved (so far), despite the fact he sleeps a lot. He is alittle
weak on his legs (all four with a limp in the front left that comes and
goes) but at time gets his strength back. he also is getting .01cc of
prenisilone 10mg/ml 2x daily every 12hrs (it was .15cc 2x however his
sugar went up too high....214 amd maybe over so it was lowered) and he
gets lassix .1cc 1x daily at night. He does get flagyl 1x daily for
his over growth of clostridium (spelt wrong) that acts up here and
there. yes he hates it.

Thank you for your advice,

Judy and Guille (Gee-Jay)
