Updated. Over the weekend it has become obvious that Diego is now having problems urinating. He is straining to attempt to relieve himself and it is causing some degree of pain. Aside from the normal dooking noise he never makes a peep but yet this morning he uttered a squeak while trying to go. He is at the vet's office now and I am waiting to hear back from them. They are running another urinalysis and also going to do x-ray imagery and a blood panel. The vet told me he may also try to explore and excise the area to see the tip of the penis and see if there is a problem with it. Find out more this afternoon I hope.
> Recently I noticed his penis sheath has become enlarged. I have already taken him to our local vet, Dr. X, of X. A routine exam showed no abnormalities whatsoever aside from the enlarged sheath. Eyes, ears, mouth were all clean & clear. Heart and lungs sounded clear and normal. No abnormality in heart beat or rate were noted. Palpating the abdomen revealed no masses, firmness or sensitivity in the region. Actual manipulation of the penile sheath appeared to cause no discomfort or sensitivity. The ability to urinate does not seem to be impaired...
