A common sweetener, this product is not just in some candies, gum, and other foods but is in some cosmetics such as flavored lipsticks, flavored lip glosses and flavored lip balms, so women have to be aware of their cosmetics, and with so many flavored child cosmetics on the market also need to be aware of products used by children, and everyone needs to check lip balm labels, too.
The first description mentions low blood sugar and jaundice.
If a ferret might have gotten Xylitol get to the vet right away, no waiting.
BTW, with Easter approaching and Purim sweets now available be aware of those sweets, of the risks of chocolate (the darker the riskier), and also of what celebration plants -- such as lilies -- pose poisoning risks.
