Please accept my sincerest condolences on the loss of your Pansy.

I think its fair to say that someone who has not had a lot of exposure to death may perceive what is normal, as troubling.

However, I believe that even a veterinary student would be familiar with what happens to the body after death.

Perhaps there's been some miscommunication and misunderstanding as to why your vet concluded that the cause of death was circulatory failure. I would ask more directly, why he/she came to that conclusion? For example, there may have been something about the heart.

And the Moderator is correct, a thorough necropsy includes sending samples for pathological analysis.

You don't say how long it was since you saw her alive and well to when you found her already passed away?? Nor how long it was before you got her to your vet.

It may have already been too late to learn anything about the cause of her death by the time your vet saw her remains.

Again, I am deeply sorry that your little one died so unexpectedly and is gone from your life.

Tressie
