Subject: [ferrethealth] Non-Regenerative Anemia in Ferret
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com
> Hi Susan
> I remember a case here in Holland of a ferret with anemia, the only thing the vet could find was an enlarged spleen, when nothing else helped the spleen was removed and the ferret recovered, she was about 3 years when this happened and lived to be 9 years old. I remember this because it was not known what the cause of the enlarged spleen was, only that removal did help. But this was a long time ago and a lot has changed since then, still it is something to talk over with your vet if he has an enlarged spleen
> Good luck
