Hi Betty,
Your vet can contact the lab and request that the slides be sent to another specialized lab for analysis. I have done this a couple of times in the past when I wanted another pathological opinion and the lab complied. In one instance the slides were sent from a lab in Guelph, Ontario, Canada to Northwest ZooPath in Washington State. So it can be done.
