Tressie, I learn something new every day about ferrets... and I never knew
this about pedialyte. I've never had luck using it because the my ferts
wont drink it - I've used Reboud oral electrolyte solution for several years
and I always use it instead of water to make their soup...does this have the
same effect? Should I seperate it and give by itself and go back to water
in the soup? Gosh, there are so many "i" s to dot and "t" s to cross in
ferret health!
- Thanks! Susan

[Use tips apply to any electrolyte solutions,
even Gatorade which can be used in a pinch but is
not the best choice. Electrolyte tips do not apply only
to ferrets. On the other hand, always know that
with anything there can be special uses that veterinarians
will want so discuss any concerns with the treating
vet and find out if the vet in such cases is calling for a shift
from the norm due to special needs, or a shift from the
norm for other reasons when that happens.
