Are the sleep places nearer to food? We have had ones with insulinoma do that and found that putting a bed very near the food (right next to it for some) worked. He might wake up dizzy from low blood glucose and hungry which is why I think that ours like that wanted to be so close to food.
If you do that have the food between the sack and water or there could be a real mess one day.
