Hello Debbie,
He may have trouble regulating his body temperature, which could
well mean he has a heart condition, enlarged hearts can restrict air
thus inhibit cooling in animals.
You might want to consider a chest x ray and have the vetylook for
enlargement or rounding of the heart.
