Subject: [ferrethealth] Ferret With Non-Regenerative Anemia

I recently posted on Ferret Health about my 3-year-old male ferret who aqui=
red a severe form of anemia, diagnosed by a bone marrow biopsy as non-regen=
erative anemia.
=A0
We did all we could to reverse this: blood transfusion, prednisilone, corti=
sone injections, Epogen injections and Azathioprine.=A0 Unfortunately my li=
ttle guy couldn't fight anymore and crossed on Saturday evening.
=A0
Thanks for all of your help and insight as I sought answers for my Ziggy.=
=A0 I chose not to have my vet do a necropsy, although I realize there may =
have been some benefit to doing that.=A0 I just felt like he had been throu=
gh enough.
