It is indeed possible to have adrenal without hair loss. Generally if
you leave the disease untreated the hair loss will show up eventually
but it is not always an early symptom. We saw that with a
particularly medically challenged ferret I had named Pertwee.

However, the other symptoms you list could be caused by other things
as well and only the itchiness is a typical adrenal symptom. Has your
vet considered running a Tennessee Panel on Allie to confirm the
adrenal diagnosis? It would be worth the cost to at least give you
peace of mind and know that treatment for adrenal makes sense.
Considering that the non-surgical treatments don't work for all
ferrets you definitely want a confirmed diagnosis.

The usual disclaimer applies: I am not a vet and haven't even played
one on TV.

Good luck to you and to Allie.
