Thanks to everyone. Vet days she's very fat and is monitoring symptoms with me etc. Pixie was on prednisone for about a year before we switched to prednisolone. So hr is concerned about long term effects.

He said she's fat. She is. Her tummy does feel full and tight at times, but not so much at others. Urinating excessively, and she demonstrated that at the vets as well. Not concentrating urine well so I'm mixing pedialyte in her soup, per her vet.

Bloodwork shows normal glucose, normal BUN, and he didn't see anything other than the low specific gravity to indicate any kidney issues. She drinks water like crazy.

She has definite fat pads on her neck and vet did not feel anything that made him think lymph issue.

Minute trace if blood inherent urine so he put her on antibiotics.

That's where we stand right now.

She's an old fert, so I know her days with me are numbered, but our vet has been seeing my kidz for 7.5 years and is very honest when it comes to letting me know that it may be time to help one of them over the bridge. He doesn't tip toe around that at all. He doesn't feel it's time, at least at this point.

We are watching that specific gravity issue though. 10 10 is very low.

Thanks to everyone for replies etc. If anyone has anything to add re the specific gravity please do. Insulinoma is under control so now we are focusing on other possibilities.

Pardon any typos. Composed this on my phone.

And I doubt the switch to prednisolone would cause her belly to swell "like a water balloon" in just two months. Strongly recommend that bloodwork and thoracic/abdominal xray be done at a minimum. Best wishes to you and little Pixie.
