Besides DIM another possibility that can fit is the FIP-like variant of ECE
according to one of the ferret veterinary experts on these illnesses who
contacted me privately, Dr. Jerry Murray.
Here are some references/resources and for this as well it
could make a LOT of sense for the treating vet to contact the
Ferret Health group at Michigan State to get details on how to
send specimens there since they are expert on both of these
possibilities:
