Now, there IS a non-specific corona virus test which can be done by a great many labs, but with the original ECE so common in much of the world you might get a positive without it being the FIP-like coronavirus with that version. Michigan State's Ferret Health Advancement group is the right place to do further pathology for either of those possibilities and more, and there are ways to send specimens over-seas, so just ask them:
