Hi Dr. Ramsell and everyone, We got the blood results back, and everything but one of his kidney values were normal. Shane's creatine was at 1.6 (she said normal was 0.8). I asked her how concerned she was about this, she said pretty concerned... but advised me to continue w/ antibiotics and come in next week for a urine protein test.
I've lost 2 ferrets in part to kidney failure before, so I'm very nervous. I just can't remember how high their values got when it got to a point that... well you know. I *think* it was 3-point-something... but I'm not sure. I'm concerned now because Shane has been pretty lethargic today. He had good poops starting last night, so thats good, but he has not been interested in much this am. He ate and has been drinking, but no playing or interest in anything.... he just wants to lay in bed.
