Subject: [ferrethealth] Arthritis in ferrets?

Augustus is estimated at 5 1/2 years old. He is a McKay ferret. I had noticed a limp and was worried he had an injury.
An Xray revealed what the vet called a mild case of arthritis on one knee and a slightly enlarged heart. She suggested Metacam for pain. She mentioned Rimadyl and I would like to check to see if anyone has experience with using it. Also if anyone has any other suggestions.
Also what kind of problems should I be looking for if problems arise regarding his heart?
