Subject: [ferrethealth] Re: Arthritis in ferrets?

These were meant as symptoms to watch for in a ferret who has already been diagnosed with an enlarged heart. The symptoms listed can be signals that the condition is worsening (Wagner, 2010).

They can also be symptoms of numerous other health issues in ferrets when taken out of context of this particular case.

Heart disease is diagnosed through a variety of diagnostics, i.e., x-rays, ECG, ultrasound, echocardiagram to name a few.
