I am assuming that you mean Hills Prescription A/D??
Most ferrets come to really like it but its a learning curve. Make sure to mix it with some water to make a thick soup. Warm it in the microwave 10-20sec. depending on size of container. Always check with your finger to make certain there's no hot spots.
Put some on your finger and then wipe your ferret's mouth with your finger (gently). After a couple of wipes the ferret generally will lick the A/D off your finger. Feed it that way a couple of times until he starts licking it from the bowl himself. Note, most ferrets require the finger lick each time to get them started.
You can add some 100% pure pumpkin to the A/D as well if his stool is really loose. 1/2 tsp. should do it.
