You know something is wrong. A good vet will never object to a second
opinion. The worst that will happen if you go to another vet is that
you will spend a little more money and they won't find anything
either. On the other hand, they may find out what is wrong and treat
him.
My advice would be to find another ferret knowledgeable vet in your
area, or, if need be, travel a little to get him to another vet. I
drive three hours to get to the vet I trust for serious ferret health
issues and it is well worth the time and effort.
