What bothers me is how can a bump on the belly that required skin scraping be confused with a blockage?
I had a little girl not much older than your ferret and she had a tumor in the lumen of her small intestine. She improved after a barium x-ray (like a new ferret) but in a couple days she was sick again. Didn't want to do anything. She had exploratory surgery and our vet had a hard time finding anything until he noticed an area of her small intestine that narrowed down and found the tumor. He removed that part of her small intestine. She woke up after surgery but died before morning. During the long surgery she had bleeding and blood pressure problems.
I wonder if your ferret has the same problem?
I'm not sure if this helps or not.
