Sounds like it could be a fur ball in the stomach. These often require removal surgically. I dont was the bump internal or external? Wonder if it could be the spleen? I suspect he needs more of a work up. Was an x ray done?

If it is a fur ball in the stomach you can try a variety of enzymes that might help break down all the hair. Then once we think it would dissolved enough, we
can try adding something like mineral oil to help move it thru.

Good luck hope you find the answers you need. Good Luck.

> Hi. My ferret who is about 2 years old has been getting sicker and sicker. I took him to the vet a few weeks ago when I noticed an bump in his belly. The vet did blood panel, skin scrape, and some other things and told me that it was because he had a blockage (most likely caused by eating something). She told me to treat him with raw pumpkin and gave me a light laxitive and within days he was fine. Within the past week, he has lost all energy, his poops are fine (although about an hour ago he had a runny one), he is drinking, eating chicken baby food (he stopped eating alot of hard food). Hes always been a loner ferret even when I adopted him but he just has lost all energy. Im scared to death. I keep taking him to the vet and they keep telling me the same thing. I just dont know what to do!!! Ive spent over 1200 dollars on him and I cant afford anymore this month. I love this little guy so much but Im tired of taking him to the vet and them taking all my money just to tell me its nothing! Please anyone help!!!
